- Register for your member account
To register for your member account, visit members.bcidaho.com and select Register. Have your member ID number or Social Security number handy, as you’ll need it to register. You can log in to your member account to view and print member ID cards, view the status of a claim and more.
- Download the Blue Cross of Idaho member app

- Read your Summary of Benefits and Coverage (SBC)
Your SBC includes important information like your deductible, copays, cost sharing and how common medical events are covered. You can find your SBC by logging into your member account and selecting View coverage and benefits from the dashboard menu. Then, under Plan details, select View summary of benefits.
- Choose a primary care provider (PCP)
Find a PCP that to you plan to go to regularly for care. Log in to your member account or the member app and select Find Care to see providers in your network. We have some tips on how to find a PCP.
- Schedule preventive care
Once you choose a PCP, schedule an annual wellness visit to check on your health and make sure you are up to date on your vaccines and preventive screenings. If you are due for any recommended screenings or other preventive care, schedule those appointments too.
