Blue Cross of Idaho takes part in Boise Pride to celebrate Idaho's LGBTQ+ community

Blue Cross of Idaho Shows Pride

Blue Cross of Idaho joined in the celebrations at the Boise Pride Fest on September 11-12 by taking part in both the parade and the festival.

This was our first year as a sponsor for the Boise Pride event and we were thrilled with the turnout we saw from fellow employees and community members.

“We were incredibly happy with the enthusiastic response from the many employees who wanted to participate both by volunteering at the booth and by joining our participation in the parade,” said Blue Cross of Idaho Director of Communications Eric Earling. “We had a great group at the event and it was a pleasure to be part of such a happy, inclusive event.”

Having our employees support and be involved in these events is an important part of our efforts to support a more inclusive environment for all Idahoans. Diversity comes in many forms, including attributes such as race, ethnicity, gender and sexual orientation, as well as others such as geography, socioeconomic background and more.

We sponsored the event alongside other community partners like Albertsons Companies, Boise Cascade, Idaho Power, Idaho Central Credit Union, JR Simplot Company, Micron, Primary Health, St. Alphonsus, St. Luke’s and Treasure Valley YMCA.

The Boise Pride festival celebrates the achievements and diversity of the LGBTQ+ community and advocates for the inclusivity and equality of human rights. This year was the 32nd annual Pride.

We look forward to continuing to be part of events like these in the future that celebrate diversity across Idaho.
